A Portrait Journey Through the Years
Watching Tessa Grow: From Baby Portraits to Senior Portraits
One of the greatest blessings of being a portrait photographer is having the opportunity to watch families grow over the years. It's something I never take for granted.
I first met this sweet family back in 2008. Since then, I've had the privilege of photographing them through different seasons of life, preserving memories that have become part of their family's story.
When I first met Tessa, she was just a sweet little baby. Through the years, I've enjoyed photographing their family several times, and about ten years ago I photographed her brother's senior portraits. It hardly seems possible that it's now Tessa's turn.
Like many high school seniors, Tessa had a very busy senior year. Between school activities, celebrations, and everything that comes with graduation, we decided to schedule her senior portraits after graduation instead. Sometimes life doesn't fit perfectly into a calendar, and that's perfectly okay. Beautiful senior portraits can be created anytime during this exciting season.
We were blessed with a gorgeous evening, beautiful light, and the perfect setting to capture portraits that truly reflect who Tessa is at this stage of her life. In just a few short weeks, she'll be heading off to college to begin an exciting new chapter.
One of the things I love most about what I do isn't simply creating beautiful portraits. It's building lasting relationships with families and having the privilege of watching children grow from babies into confident young adults. Those relationships are what have made this business such a joy for me over the past two decades.
As you look through Tessa's senior portrait album, be sure to scroll all the way to the end! I've included a few surprise portraits from when she was just a little girl. Seeing those images side by side is a wonderful reminder of just how quickly time passes.
To Tessa and her family, thank you for trusting me with your memories for all these years. It has truly been an honor to watch you grow. Congratulations on your graduation, and I wish you God's blessings as you begin this exciting new adventure in college!
If you're looking for senior portraits in Bloomington-Normal or Central Illinois, I'd love to help create a personalized session that celebrates your senior's personality and this once-in-a-lifetime milestone. Whether you prefer the beauty of an outdoor location, the variety of my studio, or a combination of both, we'll design a session that's uniquely yours.
Time passes quickly. The portraits you create today will become the memories your family treasures for generations.
